▸What does 2x mean in Rust?
2x means the server's gather rate is doubled. Every resource node yields twice as much stone, metal, sulfur, and wood compared to vanilla. Crafting and smelting speeds may also be boosted depending on the server. This halves the farming time while keeping progression meaningful.
▸Is 2x better than vanilla for most players?
For players with limited time, 2x is widely considered the ideal balance. You get the vanilla feel and competitive gameplay with half the farming. Most experienced players with jobs or other commitments prefer 2x over pure vanilla.
▸Are 2x servers considered modded?
